Senegal parrot names

The Senegal parrot is mostly found across West Africa. This parrot loves fruits and seeds. Depending upon the availability of seeds and fruits, they also love to eat millet and maize.

Senegal migrates within the living area, making its house within trees where the foods are found. That is the reason the African farmers call them pests for their crops.

They are the least intelligent compared to other parrot species, although they can learn mimicry. They can speak different words and sentences to amuse you if they get strength training.

These diseases compress the immune system of parrots. The causes of these infections are a sugary environment and carbohydrate foods, as these fungi grow optimally in these conditions.

Bornavirus is another health concern; you should monitor the health of parrots because the infection only has symptoms of weight loss despite proper eating and food digested poorly.

You can take care of your parrots by adopting the following ways:

  • Maintain good hygiene and ventilation. It will prevent fungal growth. Also important for the eradication of aspergillosis.
  • Provide your parrot with a clean cage. Clean its house regularly. Remove all the moisture and food residue from it.
  • Give your parrot a balanced diet, don’t give too much sugar and seeds, as these have sugars and carbs. A ready-to-eat diet is available in the market. You can feed them with them.
  • Suppose your parrot is affected by a bornavirus. Placing your infected bird in an individual cage is better because the virus transfers from one bird to another.
  • Clean, fresh water should be available to your Senegal parrot at all times. Change the water daily to maintain its cleanliness.
