Raw Honey

Raw honey is dangerous for parrots. It is rich in Clostridium Botulinum. It causes Botulism which is a serious illness and leads to certain death in parrots.

Raw honey is beneficial boosting the immune system. It protects parrot from life threatening diseases. But it has only one disadvantage which makes it toxic for parrots to eat. This disadvantage is Botulism.

Organic Honey

Organic honey is one type of honey. It should avoided to feed organic honey to parrots. It is harmful for parrots. The reason is that it leads to Botulism. It causes sudden deaths in parrots.

Organic honey is healthier than pasteurized honey. But, it is life threatening for parrots. If you have organic pasteurized honey, then it will be healthier and safe for parrots.

Pasteurized Honey

Pasteurized honey is safe and healthier for parrots. The pasteurization process kills all the germs and bacteria in honey. It makes suitable for parrots to serve and eat honey. Its name was given after Louis Pasteur.
